As official sponsor since 2018, Mitsubishi Electric Europe UK Branch has been active in supporting a wide variety of events. The partnership focuses on delivering a range of joint initiatives which underpin, promote and reiterate the inclusivity, wellbeing, and values through volunteering activities.

Special Olympics City of Birmingham and Special Olympics Worcestershire have joined forces to host the annual athletics event on Saturday 14th Sep. 2024. The athletes from the West Midlands region competed through a number of various track.

Mitsubishi Electric team spent their weekend in Birmingham to actively assist athletes by manning the stop watches helping with their preparations for their next major event. During the event, our team discovered this amazing community of Special Olympics GB athletes and the people who support them, learning from each other, and making new friendships by bringing people together. Volunteering is about giving back to others, but our team left the experience feeling like received something: encouragement and inspiration!

We are delighted to continue supporting the work that Special Olympics GB does, giving these amazing athletes the recognition they reserve. It is more important than ever that everyone is given the chance to shine and realise their full potential, and we look forward to finding more opportunities for our colleagues to join in with the brilliant work this amazing body achieves.
