Sports have the power to bring people together and help build welcoming and sustainable communities. At Mitsubishi Electric, we strongly believe in this mission and have supported various charitable sports initiatives for years as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility program.

In the 2024 Milan Marathon, five teams made up of colleagues and friends ran to support the "Splash!" project by the Renato Piatti Foundation. Since 2020, this foundation has been active in the Varese and Milan districts, providing social, health, and socio-medical assistance to 700 people with disabilities and autism, including over half who are children with autism spectrum disorder and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

The "Splash!" project, aims to provide one year of water therapy to 27 children with disabilities. Water, with its unique physical properties, can make therapeutic interventions particularly effective. For children with neuromotor disabilities, water therapy plays a crucial role in their rehabilitation, improving muscle strength, flexibility, and coordination while reducing stress on the joints and spine. It also enhances mobility, balance, and stability, as water offers greater resistance than air. Additionally, water provides important sensory stimulation, applying an even pressure on the body, which can help alleviate anxiety.

We are delighted to continue supporting the Renato Piatti Foundation, with whom we have partnered on various projects over the years, reaffirming our commitment to helping children and young people in need.
