Mitsubishi Electric and UXfor Introduce UXforKids to Shape Future Talent
Italy / Education
01 February - 31 March 2024
UXforKids Classroom
Mitsubishi Electric Europe Italian Branch is partnering with UXfor to introduce the UXforKids project at the primary school in Rosate (MI) Italy. This initiative offers students a new learning approach, equipping them with a "toolbox" for collaborative and empathetic education.
As the World Economic Forum notes, two-thirds of today's primary school children will work in jobs that don't yet exist. At Mitsubishi Electric in Italy, we are committed to preparing students for the future and the evolving job market. To support this, we've teamed up with the innovative social start-up UXfor to implement the UXforKids project at Istituto Comprensivo Alessandro Manzoni in Rosate, Italy. This program uses UX Design and Information Architecture methodologies to teach students a unique approach to learning, fostering collaboration and empathy.
Students Working Together during UXforKids Activities
During the two-month project, third-grade students participated in workshops led by UXfor experts. They designed a sustainability-themed app based on their everyday experiences, such as waste separation and eco-friendly travel routes to school.
The UXforKids project aims to raise awareness about inclusion, as well as harness UX Design principles, to create accessible digital products. It seeks to uncover the hidden talents of students and introduce them to future career possibilities.
