Agroforestry in Normandy

Members of Team Mitsubishi Electric rolled up their sleeves to support Amandine 'GOSSET,' a famous champagne producer, in her project to transform her family's farmland, which is highly exposed to sea winds.

To preserve and breathe new life into her family heritage steeped in history, Amandine wants to plant vines on her Normandy land located at La Poterie Cap d'Antifer on the cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre.

Participants in the Project

The project was brought to life with the collaboration of Amandine Gosset, Benoît Caumont, and the Association Française d'Agroforesterie.

The day was filled with meaningful exchanges and valuable lessons, providing an opportunity for employees to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing agriculture in the context of climate change. It highlighted the critical role of plant biodiversity in maintaining ecosystem balance and the need to adapt to environmental disruptions.

Experiencing Challenges of Agriculture through the Project

We extend our gratitude to the volunteer planters for their dedication and to Amandine, Benoît, and Didier for their hospitality and commitment to sharing their vision. This experience fostered a greater appreciation for sustainable practices and the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to the resilience of local agriculture.
