Mitsubishi Electric Europe Spanish Branch had signed agreement with RFEF (Real Federación Española de Fútbol: Royal Spanish Football Federation) and become an official sponsor of the Spanish Women's National Football Team and 'RFEF Sostenible' the Federation's green brand from 2022. The reason why Mitsubishi Electric sponsored to Women's National Football Team is that it can be a window of DE&I activities.

Pedro Ruiz, the branch president said 'Social Responsibility that, as a company, Mitsubishi Electric has, not only to enhance and make visible female talent but to, together, bequeath a better society. We are sure that linking sustainability and the great talent of our soccer players is a great step towards that better future that we all want.'

Spain Women's National Football Team has played at international competition since 1980 and has over 40 years history, however it has only recently become popular. 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup held at Australia and New Zealand was extremely exciting because Spanish National Team won the championship, and the popularity of women's football culminated in. We celebrated their victory at Women's World Cup, and promoted it.

Mitsubishi Electric sets 'Inclusion' as one of the 5 social challenge areas under sustainability management and would like to be proactive in tackling the issue of DE&I. We believe that this sponsorship contributes to the realization of women's vibration society.
