Womens Rugby Match

Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. has become a Global Partner of women’s rugby, WXV and Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 with World Rugby from this year.

Most people have heard about the Women’s Rugby World Cup, but WXV is a new, three-level annual global women’s competition featuring 18 teams from countries including Japan which launched last year. In addition to the tournament sponsorship, Mitsubishi Electric Europe will activate a career transition programme which focused on viewing career through a rugby lens and positioning Mitsubishi Electric as a diverse and inclusive brand.

The matches of level one were held in New Zealand, level two in South Africa, and level three took place in Dubai, UAE between 13th October and 4th November, with the tournament broadcast around the world. After overcoming tough matches, England, Scotland and Ireland were confirmed as champions of levels 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

Pick of the matches was the level one final between England and New Zealand, which saw England avenge their 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup final loss by scoring five tries in front of excited fans.
