Learning Curve Programme at Hatfield office

During 2023, the Learning Curve programme has continued to support schools across the country by sending out resource packs to enable to programme to be delivered locally in school.

In October 2023 we were delighted to invite 22 children into our Hatfield office of UK Branch in order the re-launch our in-house programme. We invited staff to bring their children in and we were able therefore film and photograph them. We will soon be publishing the video and lots of social media content. The programme continues to explain to children about renewable energy and the basics of how the technology works, along with actions they personally can take to make a difference to the planet. The children engage really well and the level of understanding is very high.

The programme has four main sessions, involving hands on experiments and activities, covering many aspects of the British National Curriculum. Sessions are following:

  1. (1) Fossil fuels versus renewable sources of energy
  2. (2) Solar energy
  3. (3) Heat pumps
  4. (4) Reduce, Re-use & Recycle

We aim to roll out the programme to our regional offices in the new year, which has been welcomed by our colleagues in these locations. We believe that educating new generations in this way will really help to change the world for the better.
