In September 2023, Mitsubishi Electric Europe Portuguese Branch made a monetary donation to 'LPCC (Liga Portuguesa Contra O Cancro: Portuguese League against Cancer)', a non-profit organization in Portugal.

Even with the development of medical care, millions of people worldwide are living with cancer, and Portugal is no exception. LPCC was founded in 1941 by Prof. Doctor Francisco Gentil and has supported millions of patients over it's 80 years. Their fundamental mission is supporting cancer patients and their families, however their activities are diverse such as promoting health, preventing cancer and encouraging training and research in oncology.

This donation was decided by all employees at Portuguese Branch through nomination and voting, because we recognised LPCC's great achievements and contributions to society. LPCC has helped many cancer patients and their families, but also changed society for the better, which embodies our corporate commitment 'Changes for the Better.'

Mitsubishi Electric identified 'well-being' as one of the challenge areas under our sustainability management. Therefore, it's great honour for us to contribute to the well-being of society through the donation to LPCC, and continue to aim towards realizing a better world.
