Many children all over the world suffer from childhood cancer. In September 2023 Mitsubishi Electric Europe's Portuguese Branch made a monetary donation to 'ACREDITAR', an association for parents and friends of children living with cancer.

ACREDITAR was established in 1994 as a public interest corporation. In Portugal, around 400 families hear the words 'Your child has cancer' every year, and they are forced to face a difficult life of treatments and medications. However ACREDITAR's mission goes beyond just treatment, their mission is also to improve the young patient's quality of life.

This donation was supported by all the employees at Portuguese Branch through nomination and vote because we recognised the charity's intention to support our future generation. The donation will be used for a variety of purposes, such as assistance at home, helping with the school commute or providing psychological support to families.

Mitsubishi Electric understands the importance of supporting the younger generation, who are the engine of growth which is essential for a better future. We're glad to contribute to ACREDITAR's activities which will help realize better well-being society in Portugal.
