Insights into the world of AI and smart manufacturing.

On 1st August 2023, the participants of this years Summer School “Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Applications” visited the German Branch to get an insight into the world of Mitsubishi Electric and the Japanese philosophy. With the Summer School, the university RWTH Aachen offers the students the opportunity to combine a comprehensive academic supporting program with interactive lessons and company visits.

During their visit, employees of the Industrial Automation division also explained the concepts of Smart Manufacturing Kaizen Level (SMKL) and Mitsubishi Electric Artificial Intelligence State of the Art Technology presenting various examples of AI applications in industry and their potential. Another highlight was the demonstration of how AI can be used to automatically create analysis models in MAILAB.

At the end of the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore the exhibition “The World of Mitsubishi Electric”.
