PizzAut: Inclusion is Served

Inauguration of the new PizzAut restaurant

On 2nd April 2023, PizzAut opened a new restaurant in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella. This is a great project of social inclusivity and collaboration where 25 young people with autism will be hired and trained

More than 1,100 square meters cover the new PizzAut in Monza, with 350 seats, an empowering autonomy gym, 222 square meters of kitchen space and a training academy. But the new venue is much more than a pizzeria; it is a place where boys and girls with autism spectrum disorder can find their working dimension and express the many skills and abilities they have. PizzAut provides, in fact, training and dignity to these young people who are often excluded from the world of employment and social relations, helping them find self-confidence and success in professional life.

Thanks also to the contribution of Mitsubishi Electric -which was represented at the opening by the president of the Italian branch, Mario Poltronieri - two accommodations have been built in the new restaurant in Monza, which will be used by these people to experiment their autonomy, a sort of exercise ground for them to learn how to live everyday life outside their families.

Mitsubishi Electric's commitment also went further. We also built and installed the air conditioning system for all the rooms in the new facility. As of today, PizzAut can take advantage of a cooling and heating system capable of maintaining a high level of comfort in all areas, expelling stale air and introducing fresh air, without any mixing between the two.

Having proper and effective ventilation in the restaurant and other environments is a key parameter in ensuring that the people who work there, and also the customers, live in a healthy and comfortable environment. It is, in fact, proven that poor air quality severely affects productivity, feelings of fatigue and the healthiness of the environment.
